(1) “Two Nights in Myrtletown” – a new CD/fundraiser

I’m happy to announce the release of “Two Nights in Myrtletown,” a CD by the EHH Band produced as part of KHUM-FM’s “Back Porch” radio show. The CD includes live versions of some band favorites like “Durango,” “Where’s Charlene,” and “Life is a Road,” and some previously unreleased songs that I hope you will enjoy. It’s a nice recording, professionally engineered by Tim Gray at Myrtletown Studios in Eureka, California, and mastered by Mark Chalecki at Capitol Records in L.A.

This project is a fundraiser for the Crone family, neighbors of mine whose beautiful little 3-year-old son is suffering from a rare form of childhood cancer. Drake has been going through months of chemotherapy now, preparing for a critical bone-marrow transplant. The Crones’ health insurance company has refused to cover any of Drake’s treatments (don’t even get me started on that!!!), so it’s up to the community to help in whatever way we can.

(2) EHH Band DVD available

Just in case you’ve never had the chance to catch me or the guys at a live show, you might want to check out Michael Proctor’s DVD of the EHH Band playing live on Arcata Plaza. Besides being a fine musician, Michael also has quite the eye for video production. It’s available online for $19.98, and is also part of the fundraiser for the Crone family.
